My son started going here about 2 months ago, he has never wanted to take part in any sport before any absolutely loves it. Every afternoon when I pick him up from school he asks to go to class. We have seen a huge change in his attitude at home and the respect he shows to others.

The Andersons have created the PERFECT environment for children to learn focus, respect, individual responsibility and tenacity. The teaching style of this school is incredibly fun and effective. My kids are thriving and excited to learn martial arts thanks to CHTA. I highly recommend checking them out. Very impressive in all aspects.

As a single dad, I wanted to get my kids involved in something they would grow and learn in. CHTKD really understood the circumstances and worked with me and now both my kids are flourishing in something they love.

I can't imagine a better place than Castle Hills Taekwondo to train martial arts. My 5 year old son and I both attend classes there several times per week. My son's confidence, discipline, and maturity have grown tremendously under Mr. Anderson's guidance. The adult class is a great place to share some laughs while getting in a tremendous workout. Mr. Anderson and Mrs. Anderson are both wonderful people that are willing to help in any way that they can and want the best for their students.

Rohan was not interested in anything until we got the flyer to attend a trial. That changed everything and I believe the destination is going to be far beyond black belt. Love the way its been taught while having fun here. Keep up the good work Mr Anderson and team.

My son started taking taekwondo lessons just when school started last year. The teachers mentioned at the November Parent-Teacher conference that they have seen a HUGE improvement in my son's focus , decreased hyperactivity and classroom etiquette in just 2 1/2 months. I told them he was participating in taekwondo. They could tell it was helping him. He finished the school year with all A's and B's, not a single C like in the past years. Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Anderson!! You rock!!

Instructor Spotlight: Mr. Guilbault

What super-power would you most like to have? Read Minds

What ice cream flavor would you like to invent? Taco

What celebrity would you most like to meet? Connor McGregor

What is one thing you are really good at outside of taekwondo? Outside of Taekwondo I’m a varsity hockey player, and I have always tried my hardest and succeeded in hockey. I currently play for the Denton County Spartans

What is your best subject in school? I exceed in math, numbers have always made sense to me.

What accomplishment in your life are you most proud of? The largest and coolest accomplishment in my life has been earning my level 3 instructor collar.

What do you want to be remembered for? I want to be remembered for my empathy and compassion for everyone around me. I care about all my friends, and I have and will do anything I can to make sure they’re doing alright.

Have you ever been bullied or made fun of? How did you handle it? I’ve never been bullied physically, but when I’ve heard hurtful things about myself I’m never afraid to confront the person saying it and try to understand why they’re saying it. There have been a couple times when I’ve lost my cool and resorted to more immature ways of handling things, but nothing too drastic has happened so far.

How do you feel when you are successful at something? I struggle a lot with not giving myself enough credit. So when I am successful at something, I never take the time to admire my work, I instantly start working on something else or pushing myself to become better.

Mr. Guilbault (pronunciation: gill-bo) is the oldest of three brothers! He moved here from Canada and speaks French. If you’ve seen him around the school, you’ve noticed how great he is at keeping the kids in line while making sure they’re learning and having fun while doing it. That is NOT an easy accomplishment. We’re so glad you’re a part of the team Mr. Guilbault!
